The Isotek STEM Committee donated $1,000 to Girls Inc. of Tennessee Valley on Oak Ridge Turnpike. Girls Inc. is an after-school outreach program, summer camp, and sports program for girls ages 5-18. It is an integral part of our local community and has served over 1,100 girls a year for over 40 years.

Our donation will help fund their Summer Camp Scholarship Sponsorship program. The program is used to provide summer camp scholarships for girls facing economic barriers to attend their STEM-themed summer camp. The sponsorship will cover costs associated with the summer camp, tuition fees, lunch and snacks, learning materials, and field trip fees.

During the summer camp, girls will receive a comprehensive and engaging curriculum designed to inspire and empower girls in STEM. They will participate with subject matter experts in coding workshops, participate in interactive dissections to explore biology and anatomy, and visit the NASA Space and Rocket Center.
