Rhoni Basden, Executive Director

Rhoni Basden is the proud Executive Director, since 2013! She and her husband, Cam, have two little boys being raised with a strong dedication to equitable rights! Rhoni graduated from the University of San Francisco and has worked in public service for over 10 years!

Alanna Hunsaker-Kosier, Programs Director

Alanna is our Programs Director and has been with Girls Inc. for over ten years. She has greatly enjoyed watching our facility expand and grow to reach more girls in Oak Ridge, Knoxville and Blount County. She has three children and the oldest is a junior at Carson Newman. She enjoys watching football, but most importantly the Denver Broncos!

One of the great things about young people is that they do question, that they do care about justice, and that they have open minds.

Tracy Crossno, Sports Director

Tracy is the Sports Director at Girls Inc., and when she is not running our many sports programs or assisting with practices and games, she is helping manager her two restaurants. She has an amazing family of a husband and three kids, two of whom played sports at Girls Inc. Tracy feels blessed to be a part of the Girls Inc. organization, and it’s not unusual to see her whole family helping out with the different sports!

Kirby Deal, Development Director

Kirby is a native of Tennessee and couldn’t imagine living anywhere without the beautiful mountain scenery. She enjoys watching sports, especially baseball, Crossfit, reading, watching movies, exploring new places, and doing anything outdoors. Kirby loves working for Girls Inc. because the organization makes every girl feel special and cared for while inspiring them to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.

Meghan Byrge, Outreach Director

Meghan supervises outreach programs and staff. She recently graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in Anthropology and has been working at Girls Inc since February 2016! She love dogs, donuts and coffee! A true triple threat. Her favorite thing about working for Girls Inc. is seeing girls grow to become strong, empowered young women and realize their full potential.

Kyla Black, Program Supervisor

Kyla supervises the programming and staff at the Oak Ridge center. She graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 2016 with her Bachelors in Child & Family Studies. You can always find her cheering on her Vols & Ice Bears, loving on her three dachshunds and her husband! She loves Girls Inc. because it empowers young girls to grow up strong, smart & bold!

Erin Douglas, Operations Manager

Erin is the operations manager here at Girls Inc. She graduated in the Fall of 2017 with a bachelor’s in business management and Human Resources. She also plans to go back to Tennessee Tech in the Spring to complete her MBA. Erin was a Girls Inc. girl herself from 2006-2010 and was awarded alumnae of the 2018 calendar year. Erin loves Girls Inc. because she has seen the powerful impact it has made on her own life as well as others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her poodle, Henry.

Alli Cantrell, Volunteer Coordinator/Program Staff

Alli facilitates girls in the 3-4th grade room and is also our Volunteer Coordinator. She always finds a way to bring her crafty side into the classroom. Outside of work, you can find her making jewelry, knitting and chowing down on some delicious Mexican food. She loves being at Girls Inc. because of the bonds she forms with the girls and seeing them find their true selves!

Whitley Myers, Development Assistant/Program Staff

Whitley facilitates the awesome girls in the Middle School room and works in the development department. She recently moved to Tennessee from Chicago to escape the cold and is excited to make Tennessee her new home. Her one true love is cats, but she also enjoys learning, reading anything she can get her hands on, binge watching TV shows and a good nap. She loves working at Girls Inc. because seeing our girls flourish in a safe environment is uplifting and beautiful!

Natalee Barger, Program Staff

Natalee works in the K-2nd grade room at the Oak Ridge center. She is goofy, funny and sweet! The girls love her because she’s always willing to connect with them and help with their homework.

April Hicks, Outreach Staff

April is an Outreach Instructor with Anderson County Schools. She is from Briceville, TN, and now serves in the same school she once attended. April is a former seasonal park ranger with Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and loves sharing her passion for science and nature with girls in Girls Inc.

Teresa McKine, Outreach Staff

Teresa is an Outreach Instructor in Blount County and she’s from Savannah, Georgia. She’s college honors graduate from Claflin University with a bachelors in Marketing. 

I can’t complain about having too much on my plate when my goal in the first place was to eat.
